Company History

May. 1958 Established company in Nagoya, JAPAN.
Dec. 1966 Developed Japan’s first remotely controlled lighted Road VMS and delivered the first unit to MLIT (Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism).
Dec. 1971 Developed our first parking meters and provided them to Metropolitan Police Department.
Apr. 1975 Developed a traffic signal for the visually impaired and began trials with Aichi Prefectural Police Headquarters.
Aug. 1987 Developed and began marketing a solder joint inspection machine using laser beams.
Mar. 1991 Developed a parking lot vehicle detection system using image processing and provided them to Ashigara Service Area operated by Central Nippon Expressway Company Limited.
Jun. 1991 Established INFORMEX CO., LTD. with the aim of bolstering sales of Mobile VMS.
Jun. 1997 Obtained ISO9001 certification for Opto-Electronics Division.
Dec. 1998 Developed and began marketing automatic inspection machine using X-rays.
Jan. 2000 Obtained ISO9001 certification for Information Equipment Division.
Mar. 2000 Developed a road surface detection system using image processing and provided it to MLIT.
Sep. 2000 Listed shares on the Second Section of the Nagoya Stock Exchange.
Jun. 2003 Developed and began marketing a solder joint inspection machine using image processing.
Dec. 2003 Obtained ISO14001 certification for Opto-Electronics Division.
Dec. 2006 Obtained ISO14001 certification for Information Equipment Division.
Nov. 2009 Developed multi-color Road VMS and provided them for trials at the Shin-Tomei Kakegawa Test Track operated by Central Nippon Expressway Company Limited.
Jan. 2010 Developed the NVI-FZ new-type solder joint inspection machine.
Mar. 2010 Developed a hybrid type Road VMS, provided to local goverments.
Jan. 2011 Established liaison office in Wuxi and Shenzhen,China.
Feb. 2013 Developed and began marketing NXI-3300 new type x-ray inspection machine.
Feb. 2013 Received the TOYOTA Technological Development Award for Optical Inspection System with Camera Array.
Apr. 2013 Wholly owned subsidiary INFORMEX Co., Ltd. merged with Nagoya Electric Works Co., Ltd.
